Nicki Minaj allegedly pushes fan during chaotic meet-and-greet

A Nicki Minaj fan claims the rapper shoved him as he tried to get a selfie with her during a chaotic meet-and-greet in London on Monday.

In a TikTok video captured by user theyluviish, a mob of people could be seen surrounding the rapper, 39, who begged them to β€œback up.”

Ignoring her pleas and wanting to take advantage of her proximity, he appeared to lean back against her to take a video.

As he threw up a peace sign and pursed his lips, Minaj could be seen telling him to β€œback up” before he was seemingly shoved out of the way.

“Nicki Minaj literally pushed me omg πŸ˜‚,” the fan claimed in the TikTok, adding, “My fave literally touched me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜.”

The fan further claimed in the comment section of his video that he was β€œjust happy Nicki touched” him. “Thank you Nicki for stopping by,” he concluded.

A rep for Minaj did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Minaj was mobbed by fans when she arrived at her meet-and-greet event.

The alleged incident happened after the β€œStarships” rapper β€” who had performed at the Wireless Festival on Sunday β€” took to Instagram Live Monday morning to announce she was hosting an impromptu meet-and-greet in Camden Town, London.

Hundreds of people showed up at Cafe Koko, according to The Mirror, and mobbed Minaj when she arrived. She took to Twitter to beg fans to get out of the streets so she could properly meet them as she shared a video of the mobs.

β€œGuys, if you don’t get in a contained space they won’t let me get out the cars. Pls [sic] don’t run in the streets. Please get in 1 place. 1 line πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌβ€ she tweeted.

Police were forced to surround the rapper and decided it was best to escort her back to her car so they could get a better handle on the crowds, but ultimately had to cancel the event.

“In the interests of safety the event managers took the decision that the event would not go ahead,” Camden Police tweeted on Monday. β€œMembers of the public are advised not to travel to the area … Crowds are leaving and police remain on scene. No arrests.”

Meanwhile, Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, recently made headlines when he was sentenced to house arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

A Los Angeles judge sentenced Petty, 44, last week to three years of probation and one year of home detention. He was also ordered to pay a $55,000 fine.

Petty – who shares a son with Minaj – was originally arrested in March 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender in Los Angeles. He had previously served four years in prison after being convicted of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl in 1994.

Petty and Minaj began dating in late 2018 after meeting as teenagers and got married a year later.
